Trends Record
Do popular betting trends hold up? Each morning we log the answers to the search box's trend questions before games start, then grade every pick at the closing line. Each trend is an analyst of its own: open one to see its record and subscribe. Ask these questions on your dashboard
Which betting trends actually hold up?
Every morning we log picks from trend questions like "Biggest ATS mismatch today," then grade them at the closing line. Misses count the same as wins. Free account, no card required.
How picks are logged and graded
When: Every day at 10 AM ET, each question is asked the way the dashboard's search box asks it, and up to 10 top answers are kept. Only games that haven't started count. A "tonight" question covers games from 5 PM ET, and a question that names a league covers only that league.
The pick: A team question backs the ranked team, and a "worst" question fades it by taking the other side. A mismatch backs the team with the better record in that stat. A "both teams" question takes the game's over or under. A "fade" question takes the other side. A schedule or form question backs a team in that spot, like one off a blowout loss, and each trend's own page lists exactly how it chooses.
Grading: Spreads and totals are graded at DraftKings' closing line (from ESPN), 1 unit at -110. Record questions are graded on the winner, 1 unit at DraftKings' closing moneyline. So are NHL and MLB picks on every spread question, since puck and run line prices are rarely near -110. NHL and MLB spread picks logged before that change stay graded at -110. The price you could actually get may differ.
The totals: These add up every question shown, and many questions pick the same games, so one game can count several times. Read them as a summary, not as one bankroll's result.
